Soundproof walls, kinky fantasies, complimentary condoms and underage girls are just some of the amenities offered by the Hotel de Jeunesse. Dining service includes, but is not limited to, cocaine, marijuana and heroin.
The Hotel de Jeunesse, which translates literally to “Hotel of Youth”, is the product of a partnership between Toronto Crime Stoppers and Tribal Worldwide, part of their latest campaign to raise awareness of sex and human trafficking in Canada. They want to educate the public on discerning signs of victimization and on reporting suspicious behavior. The idea is to stress that sex and human trafficking signs are often hiding in plain sight.

As sex trafficking occurs frequently at hotels, Tribal decided to use search engine marketing to target those searching for accommodation in the Toronto area. The campaign also has out-of-home executions living as transit ads, elevators, gas stations, as well as ads on Facebook and Instagram.
Tribal executive creative director Marketa Krivy said that the team was moved by real life events: “When we started working on this project, we read about a flight attendant who saved a young girl from human trafficking during one of her flights.” Krivy explained that most people would have “dismissed seeing a young, quiet girl with an older man [who did all of the talking for her] as nothing suspicious”, when in fact that is a sign of human trafficking.
