The 2019 Autumn/Winter collection by Hiromi Asai features traditional British suits and jackets made using Kimono silk textiles from Japan.
Hiromi Asai has developed a jacket and suit lineup for its 2019 Autumn/Winter menswear collection. To be unveiled at Pitti Uomo 95 in Italy’s Florence this month, its theme is Savile Row, and represents the traditional British style, while infused with contemporary tastes.
Known for its creation of Kimono-inspired textiles using Japanese craftsmanship, the label is applying a ‘slow fashion and slow lifestyle’ touch to the range. The aim of the collection is to attain sophistication in design and promise of comfort in an effort to elevate the wear.
Featuring double-breasted formal suits in the British style, each is designed with silk fabrics to showcase the character and elegance of the base material. The jackets were produced in collaboration with one of Japan’s leaders in handmade bespoke offerings, Teruo Hirokawa.
Following the Florence reveal, Hiromi Asai will present its new Autumn/Winter menswear collection at New York Fashion Week in February. The fashion house is based in New York.
