Vuzix and AccuWeather have forged a deal to bring interactive weather experiences to Blade Smart Glasses wearers across the globe.
Smart glasses and augmented reality technology brand, Vuzix, has secured a strategic partnership with AccuWeather to bring interactive AR-based weather experiences to its customers across the globe. An official reveal will take place in Las Vegas in January.
Users can now interact and view localised weather content and forecasts via the marque’s Blade Smart Glasses. Meanwhile, the weather media giant has an audience of 1.5 billion worldwide. The alliance lets consumers to stay informed with their phones in their pockets.
Wearers of the Vuzix Blade AR glasses will see a comprehensive forecast as a visual overlay that pops into their field of vision. With air travel, the product offers a forecast of departure city, prompting checks for flight delays. Upon landing, it helps users maximise their trip.
“AccuWeather is one of the most trusted weather brands. We are excited to be partnering with them to deliver localised digital weather content via our Blade Smart Glasses for users at home or on-the-go across the globe,” said Paul Travers, President and CEO of Vuzix.
