Joining from Area 23, Bernardo Romero enters Grey New York as Executive Creative Director to serve in its health-related business.
Grey New York has welcomed on board Bernardo Romero as ECD. Entering the agency’s health-related business, he joins from Area 23, where he last served in a similar capacity. The appointment marks the fifth senior creative hire by the network in the past month.
He has bagged twenty Cannes Lions across twelve categories in the last two years. Romero has also won at the Clios and other shows like London International for clients such as Lilly, Bayer, Novartis, and Eagle. His career began as creative director at Africa and TBWA Brazil.
There, he handled a broad spectrum of blue-chip accounts, among which were Mitsubishi, Budweiser, Gatorade, adidas, ESPN, and Nissan. He still teaches at the Miami Ad School.
“Bernardo is one of the most creatively recognised leaders in the entire health category. His arrival underscores our commitment to invest 75 cents of every Grey dollar in senior creative talent by 2019,” said John Patroulis, Worldwide Chief Creative Officer of Grey.
